I’ve been practicing UX since 2015. My strengths as a UX Designer are rooted in my B.A. in Communications (concentration in Journalism), and include interviewing, investigating different perspectives, interrogating assumptions, working within limited systems, & being a voice & advocate for more inclusive solutions.

UX Portfolio

Since 2015, I’ve designed for several Saas (software as a service) products, including:

  • Milieu: a business-to-business social exchange and directory to help associations and organizations leverage community knowledge and resources;

  • Starfish:a student success and outreach platform for higher ed institutions to track student progress and engage in outreach with their students;

  • PSA technology: professional services automation software for project management, financial projections and reporting, and resource scheduling.

Philosophy & Approach

My approach to designing solutions & addressing the needs & challenges in software products greatly influences how I also approach work in local community and non-profit spaces, like —

  • Implementing and exploring tools like Signal, Slack and Mighty Networks to improve collaboration in movement building work;

  • Implementing workflows in Monday.com to improve nonprofit financial management systems and practices;

  • Establishing regular feedback loops and opportunities for internal teams to share ideas on how to improve practices at nonprofit through satisfaction surveys, staff exit interviews, and group focus sessions for program and budget fiscal year planning;

  • Gathering community feedback on state legislative issues in small group sessions and coalition spaces.
